Julian is a bright child who is full of energy. He needs constant stimulation or else he gets bored and boredom = trouble. Since mommy and baby were getting bored and going stir crazy in the house, we thought it was a good idea to get him enrolled in some different classes. On Mondays Julian goes goes to gymnastics at Pacific West Gymnastics -- his teacher is Mrs. Janet. It's a mommy and me class so I have to participate and I love the running around too.
This class helps Jules with problem solving, coordination, listening skills, etc., and wears off some energy. It will also help get him ready for martial arts, which he will start when he turns 4. When we pull up to Pac West Gymnastics Julian yells, "My teacher's house!" He gets so excited to go and has a blast! Here are some pictures of him in the class:
On Tuesdays we have Julian enrolled in the "School Skills" program at Gymboree (Thanks, Grandma Carey). This helps prepare Julian for preschool as he is on the waiting list for a co-op in Fremont. His teacher is Teacher Beth. Jules adores her and I'm pretty sure she's sweet on him, too. She usually has Jules on her lap and she is pretty attentive and patient with him. Teacher Beth says he does well in class -- sometimes he needs a little help listening, but that overall he's pretty good. We've definitely noticed a big change for the positive in Julian's attitude, sharing with his friends has become easier, and he's sleeping better now that he's in Gymboree and gymnastics. Here is a picture of him playing in Gymboree class: (I only got one pic because we had to leave right after)
Yesterday, the 27th, I had to go to the dentist. After my appointment I asked them to schedule Julian a check-up and they said they could just squeeze him in that day. Unfortunately I didn't have the camera on me and had to use my phone camera/video, so I only got three pictures that aren't that great. :(
Anyway, Julian did SO well in the dentist chair -- he hopped right up and put on his cool glasses. I was surprised that he allowed the RDA to clean his teeth without any hassle because we usually have to pry his mouth open just to brush his teeth! The RDA even allowed Julian to polish his own teeth and he thought it was the coolest thing ever. She showed him how to play with the water squirter/mouth sucker and he had a lot of fun using them. He managed to charm every single person in the dentist office and when we left he had his own little fan club, lol.
