Misc. pics of Julian being silly with his new hat on.

Julian is a bright child who is full of energy. He needs constant stimulation or else he gets bored and boredom = trouble. Since mommy and baby were getting bored and going stir crazy in the house, we thought it was a good idea to get him enrolled in some different classes. On Mondays Julian goes goes to gymnastics at Pacific West Gymnastics -- his teacher is Mrs. Janet. It's a mommy and me class so I have to participate and I love the running around too.

This class helps Jules with problem solving, coordination, listening skills, etc., and wears off some energy. It will also help get him ready for martial arts, which he will start when he turns 4. When we pull up to Pac West Gymnastics Julian yells, "My teacher's house!" He gets so excited to go and has a blast! Here are some pictures of him in the class:

The owner, Teacher Evelyn, showing Julian how to walk across the beam.

Jules running down the tumbling trampoline.

The high swing. I love swinging on this with him. It's pretty fun.

Ju doing the obstacle course.

Teacher Evelyn said: His listening skills - not so good, but his somersaults -- great! LOL.

He's such a pro at this and is the only kid in the class that can get his feet up there all by himself! What a little monkey he is.

Right after this picture was taken he let go of his right hand to pick his nose! Oh boy. A gross little dare devil he is. Ha ha.

On Tuesdays we have Julian enrolled in the "School Skills" program at Gymboree (Thanks, Grandma Carey). This helps prepare Julian for preschool as he is on the waiting list for a co-op in Fremont. His teacher is Teacher Beth. Jules adores her and I'm pretty sure she's sweet on him, too. She usually has Jules on her lap and she is pretty attentive and patient with him. Teacher Beth says he does well in class -- sometimes he needs a little help listening, but that overall he's pretty good. We've definitely noticed a big change for the positive in Julian's attitude, sharing with his friends has become easier, and he's sleeping better now that he's in Gymboree and gymnastics. Here is a picture of him playing in Gymboree class: (I only got one pic because we had to leave right after)

Yesterday, the 27th, I had to go to the dentist. After my appointment I asked them to schedule Julian a check-up and they said they could just squeeze him in that day. Unfortunately I didn't have the camera on me and had to use my phone camera/video, so I only got three pictures that aren't that great. :(

Anyway, Julian did SO well in the dentist chair -- he hopped right up and put on his cool glasses. I was surprised that he allowed the RDA to clean his teeth without any hassle because we usually have to pry his mouth open just to brush his teeth! The RDA even allowed Julian to polish his own teeth and he thought it was the coolest thing ever. She showed him how to play with the water squirter/mouth sucker and he had a lot of fun using them. He managed to charm every single person in the dentist office and when we left he had his own little fan club, lol.

Julian has 20 teeth (10 top, 10 bottom) and NO cavities! Yay!! No juice and brushing your teeth twice a day really does pay off!!

Showing off his cavity free smile. Sorry it's blurry. Leaving the dentist office with lots of cool goodies. Video of Julian getting his teeth cleaned/polished:

The New House We Are Renting!!

I asked Jer what he would like to say about our new place in this blog entry and he replied, "It's costing us a damn fortune, but it's well worth it."

The new place we are renting is a quaint two bedroom duplex with a converted garage that has a second bathroom. There is also a small backyard and side yard. Julian is already loving the new place and every time we go there to move stuff in he doesn't want to leave. He calls the old apartment the "doodie" apartment, HA HA. We cannot wait to move in and have more space.

The right side of the duplex is ours.

We have a gate entry that I love because it keeps Julian contained. I never noticed all the dirt on the wall, but it really shows up in this pic. Need to clean that ASAP. :)Small patio perfect for BBQ'ing. The door to the left is the garage door or the playroom door entry.Walking down the "outside hallway" that leads to the front door on the left, or if you keep going it leads to the backyard.

Our small, but cute backyard. The tree is perfect for a swing and we plan on doing a small organic garden on the side.

The front door entrance.

If you go through the front door and look to your left you see this: our cozy living room/kitchen.

The kitchen area. Small, but big enough for Jer to make loads of good food in! You can't really see it in the pics, but the island has a lip, big enough to put bar stools.

This use to be a garage. The landlord converted it into an extra room which we will use as Julian's playroom/Jer's guitar room/Guest bedroom.

Playroom door.

More playroom pics... and our new screen door on the right.Playroom bathroom entrance. The hideous shower curtain was included with the house, haha. We won't be using that. :)Ju's playroom bathroom.Ju's Playroom shower.

His room looks small in this pic, but it's actually a decent size.Looking into our bedroom. Our walk in closet. My sideJer's side.Washer and Dryer closet.Looking out of the front door.Julian took a picture of us in all our sweaty moving glory. Our brand new (kinda) steal brush fridge and batman. A house mommy's dream! Ha ha. Oh, the closet to the right is our jacket closet. Our new washer and dryer. Ohh la la. My life is complete! :)

The new couch -- Yes, Jer did get vetoed on his lumpy love seat/sofa vote. I thought this looked cleaner, took up less room, but also had more space for people to sit on. We're gonna get an ottoman (instead of a reg. coffee table) and eventually a nice dark brown leather chair to off set it... Cause every man needs his own leather recliner!
