Christmas Day -- 12/25/09

It was a Christmas of plenty, but Julian's emotional response was underwhelming -- we thought he was going to go bananas when he saw everything.  But like a typical spoiled American child his response was more like, "Yeah, I got Ben 10.  That's right.  I was expecting this."

Grandpa Pete and his wife, Shelly, came over for dinner which was amazing.  They brought over a really nice bottle of wine.  We finished that bottle along with the good bottle of wine Cousin Caneisha brought us from Mexico.  It all went down so smoothly with the food.

All in all it was a great day since we were spending it with each other.  Wish we could have been with the rest of our family too.

Christmas Eve -- 12/24/09

The night before Christmas we opened one present each -- PJ's.

After our traditional PJ opening, we made homemade sugar cookies with homemade frosting.  Here's the frosting I made.  It didn't taste very good raw, but it was delish on the actual cookies.  I really just loved the colors I made too.

The snowman I handmade - I was so proud, lol.

I can't remember why he was having this particular tantrum.  I'm sure it wasn't necessary though, lol.

The slippers were the only thing that saved him from going to time-out.

Jer's finished cookie plate!

Mommy's cookie plate!

This cookie was inspired by Julian's attitude of the night, lol.

I really enjoyed eating this one-armed snowman.

After cookies we put Julian to bed and then set up all of his gifts.  We were really excited for him to wake up and get his presents.

The tree!
