What We Got with Our Giftcard from Grandma Carey and Grandpa David, 2-1-10

A salad dressing emulsifier for the homemade salad dressing I make for Jer that he loves // an apple slicer!
A mini food processor.  Good for baby food and chopping up garlic for my homemade dressing!

A new knife set for Jer // Another set of Pyrex (I <3 Pyrex!) -- We're trying to go green and get rid of plastic.
A new picture frame for the Grandparents' recent picture.

A wine rack -- It looks a little lonely, so if anyone want...  they can send us delicious red wine. ;)

Julian's First Field Trip to the CDM with His Class 1-22-10

One Friday the class went to the Children's Discovery Museum.  This was Julian's second time going and he was just as excited as the first time we went.

Dance, dance! Doing the Monster Mash!
Taking a break to eat our lunch.

Science Time -- Growing a Plant at Home!! 1-19-10 onward....

I bought a flower pot kit from the dollar bin at Target so Ju could watch the process of how plants grow.  At the time I purchased the kit I was a little skeptical since it was only 1$, but as you can see from the pictures, it works! Ju was really excited to water his plant everyday.  Here are the pictures documenting it's month and a half growth!

Day number 1

Day 3 -- First showing!!
More TLC from Juju
7 days growth
After 3 1/2 weeks -- I pointed out the fact to Julian that the plant is leaning towards the window to better reach the sun for food. He thought this was super cool, lol.
The new flower pot we bought at Michael's to transfer it to.  Once we transfer it and it has more room to grow I'm hoping it flowers.
As of 4 days ago.
Now that our thumbs are just a wee bit greener, we are hoping to plant a small organic vegetable garden in the backyard during the end of fall.  Maybe some tomatoes, carrotts (Ju's fav) and a few other things.  Can't wait for that to get going!!
