Our Anniversary - 11.01.09

Next year we are going to have our picture taken BEFORE we eat, lol.
The Entrance

Morrocan salad - the bread is denser and sweeter.  The "salsa" part if not spicey, but there is a lot of different flavors to it. YUM!!  I could have eaten that stuff all night.

The dish was ground chicken mixed with ground vegetables wrapped in phyllo and sprinkled with powdered sugar and cinnamon.  It's a very unusual combo, but so nice and light. Chicken Kabobs!
Mint tea with Baklava.. One can never have too much Baklava.. Or mint tea for that matter!

These pictures are from our anniversary dinner at a lovely Morrocan Restaurant. I'll mention a couple of things:

1) We were dead tired! And I mean DEAD tired. Jer and I were out the night before for Halloween at Firken Beaver's w/my cousin having Wyder Cyder and ONE celebratory anniversary shot (Pineapple Upside Down Cake -- which I do not recommend for anyone over the age of 22 years old) Not to mention the fact that we got up super early to pack and move, which we were still doing up until 1.5 hrs before our reservation...

2) We had chicken with chicken. Jer didn't want to do vegetarian and I'm not adventerous and would not do the lamb, fish or duck. However, the meal was absolutely DELISH!! I can't wait to go back.

Halloween - 10.31.09

This is our first blog post in several months -- since then the blogger has changed it's setting and we're still getting adjusted to those -- that is why this post looks funny.   During our time away from the blog we have been moving, had several colds, and been getting Julian settled into Nursery School, which he absolutely loves...
The pictures above are from Halloween.  It was short and sweet, but Julian loved every moment of it.  We ended up going to my cousin Caneisha's house in Tracy after trick-or-treating.  During the 45min car ride Ju managed to eat pretty much his entire bag of candy and then crashed, lol...
