Julian's 3rd Beach Party Birthday Bash at Natural Bridges, Santa Cruz, CA - 9/12/09

The night before Julian's party we picked up two of his cousins, Bella and Mia, so Caneisha wouldn't have to travel to Santa Cruz with all the kids in one car. We got all the kids back to our house, packed up both our cars, grabbed a quick bite to eat and then headed down to Santa Cruz and stayed in a hotel... We thought a hotel stay in SC would be easier because we had to be at Natural Bridges Beach early to reserve our tables...

The kids jumping on the bed --this occupied them for 45 mins, lol FACE PLANT! Jules tickling Mia. Bella being silly.
FINALLY!!

The next morning Jer got up around 7:30 and went down to the beach to reserve our spot while I got all the kids ready. Before the party I had to pick up the cake and last minute items at Lucky's. Everyone kept commenting on how many kids I had. It was too funny.
When we got to the beach is was about 10 degrees colder than what the weather person predicted... Why do those guys still have jobs?!?! Ha ha.

Julian's 3rd Birthday Party:

Tiffany, Chris' girlfriend; Chris, my brother; Cole, my Nephew.
I'm a mad chef! Err.. Mango cutter... I'm not sure why there is this picture of hotdogs... I think Jer was really proud and happy he got to eat meat that day so he took a pic of the meat, lol Sarai, Bella, Mia, and Jr. Felicity and Ju Ju was playing quietly be himself. Uncle Bob, Aunt Celia, Chris and Cole. Avey, Brian, Bella, Jer and Caneisha

My cousin Brian, Tyler, Rose's Dad, Tim, and Rose, Brian's wife.
Karen, who I went to college with and Madi, our little my precious doll baby..
Zach, Karen and Madi -- You probably remember seeing them in a previous blog entry from their wedding in Soquel, CA
Grandpa Pete - Jer's Dad
The guys trying to roast a stick.
Cascarone Time!! (The cascarones from Easter were such a hit with the kids we've decided to do them at all celebrations.. Thanks, Dad!)
The kids breaking the eggs and Shelly, Grandpa Pete's Girlfriend, taking pictures.
Ju breaking one on Mommy's head for good luck.
After all our guests left the family went for a quick stroll on the beach together.
Jules ran off to chase birds. We ran after him and Daddy caught him. He was mad, lol.
As Daddy says, "Cheer up, Buttercup!"

Even though the beach was freezing, the party was unorganized and crazy and Ju threw plenty of tantrums we still had fun. And like Caneisha says, the kids will never remember freezing their butts off or all the chaos the parents dealt with -- they'll remember having fun with each other and running around, their sand buckets, and cracking cascarones...

Happy 3rd Birthday, baby boy! We've loved every second of watching you grow up. You teach us patience, and constantly remind us to love and laugh.

Love you with all our heart - Mommy and Dada.
