Morgan Hill Pumpkin Patch, 10-18-09

This is our family's second year in a row going to the Uesugi Farm Pumpkin Patch in Morgan Hill. We looked at other pumpkin patches in the Bay Area -- a lot of them had the same type of attractions, but were a bit pricier. Since we enjoyed going last year we decided to go again this year.

One this trip Julian got to go on the Pony Ride and Petting Zoo which didn't exists last year. We were fortunate that he only had one melt down, opposed to the many last trip. Everyone at the pumpkin patch noticed and commented on Julian being batman and how cute he was. And of course Julian really played it up and acted in Batman character. We were surprised that Julian was again one of only a few kids who were wearing a costume (same thing happened last year). Since we paid good money for that thing we plan on him getting some use out of it, Ha ha.

Since it was a pumpkin farm we couldn't leave without buying two large pumpkins, four small pumpkins, a bundle of decorative baby corn, and a bundle of decorative strawberry corn (soo cute!). The decorative pieces will soon become our center pieces for Turkey Day.

The chicken on the right had WILD feathers that looked like a crazy hair wig.

Even though Julian only had one meltdown (here captured below) it was an ALL MIGHTY one complete with hitting and biting. It started as soon as we got on the hayride and lasted the whole 5 minute ride. I have never wanted to jump out of a moving truck so badly in my entire life. I was frustrated and mortified that everyone on the truck had to witness it and that I got bitten twice, lol. Jeremy tried to lighten the mood by photographing my expression throughout the hayride, but I just left those out because I was not amused, ha ha. Oh the joys of parenting an expressive, head strong three year old.

Cole Time and Our Favourite Chinese Restaurant, 10-04-09

We went down to the South Bay a few weeks ago to get our Cole fix. Cole was at Ju's 3rd birthday party, but we really didn't get a chance to play with him because we were so busy cooking and setting up. Cole is now a little over 15lbs, and has two of his bottom teeth. The top teeth are bubbling, so they should be making their appearance very soon. I used Hyland's Homeopathic Teething Tablets with Ju and since they worked so well with him, I bought some for Cole. Apparently Cole loves them too and it's helped with his fussiness and pain. His mom, Tiffany, has been buying them in the bulk. Tiffany also says he's finally sleeping a little longer (5-6 hour stretches -- Go Mom!). Cole is a very relaxed baby (Just like Ju was!), a cuddler, talkative, and all around happy go lucky baby. Such a little sweetheart. Oh!! I almost forgot -- Cole is now scooting himself (but only backwards, haha), can sit up, and recently started eating fresh fruits.

Buddies Forever.

Ju getting a little jealous that someone other than him has all his Mom's attention. Cole is so ticklish around his ribs and thighs.Big laughs He started getting a little fussy after two hours, so I stood up and rocked him and out he went. Auntie April has the magic rock! After he woke up we took everyone out for Yogurt at Sweet Retreat! That place is AMAZING! Happy with his Dad - My youngest brother, Chris.Ju needing a little attention.

After Tiffany's we headed to the mall to do ALL of Julian's winter clothes shopping. A LOT of money later we ran out of there and headed to our favourite Chinese Restaurant The Pearl River. They have cream cheese filled fried wantons that are to die for! (Probably literally since eating one probably clogs several arteries.)

Ju works a pair of chopsticks better than Mommy! Yummy Yummy!
